Our weekly sessions are structured in two segments: those whose time is limited, or who simply wish to meditate with the support of a sangha, join for the first half hour (or so) of each session; those who wish to deepen their understanding of the concepts of Buddhist teachings return for the second part of the session, for readings and discussion. All are equally welcome!

Temple University Learning Circle

OPENPhiladelphia, PA

Every other Wednesday at 8pm ET

Our Learning Circle is open to all Temple University students, regardless of experience level with meditation. We meet to connect, learn, experience, and reflect together. The general structure of our meetings begins with a check-in & intention-setting, followed by the review of content to learn from (readings, videos, recordings), partnering & discussion, meditation, and group reflection.

Our group focuses on learning and deepening meditation techniques & practices to relate them to real-life experiences, aiming to move the wisdom discussed into action to serve the lives of others (and ourselves)! We enjoy engaging in conversation centering around exploring ourselves, our ideas, and the practices, as well as the areas in which they might intersect.

If you are interested in joining our Learning Circle, please fill out this form and reference “Temple University” Learning Circle.

Giving Shelter Learning Circle

OPENVirtual & In person

Mondays 6pm PT

We are residents of Santa Clara County living under a Shelter-In-Place directive. We will revisit the time, day, and platform for meeting when the Shelter-In-Place directive ends.

Our Learning Circle is open to all Namchak students; however, we’d especially appreciate folks who live close enough to be able to meet in person at least once every quarter.

Our mission is to practice the Dharma together, create Sangha, and to support and encourage each other’s spiritual practice.

The structure of our gatherings are as follows: start with a check in, followed by an inspiring reading, then, a Namchak meditation. We end with another check in and then rotate roles (facilitator, chooser/reader of inspiring words, and time keeper) for the next meeting.

If you would like to join our Learning Circle, please fill out this form and reference “Giving Shelter” Learning Circle.
