Through meditation, we begin to recognize how incessantly we make movies in the mind. It’s constant! Even while we’re sleeping, we’re dreaming. Let’s be honest, at this point if we can be present for one whole breath, we’re doing great. As we develop these new abilities, we begin to pause. We can bypass the knee-jerk reaction and speak and act from our hearts, from our higher brain functions. We experience less stress. We become better at our relationships. We notice the world around us.
