Vipassana Retreat: Exploring Mindfulness of Mind and Phenomena

Zoom

Join master teacher Namchak Khen Rinpoche for an intimate weekend retreat focusing on a meditation practice that is intended to help clear your lens and get to the essence of your true self.

This retreat is the final part of Namchak’s three-part series focusing on the time-tested practice of insight meditation, or Vipassana. Here we examine the Four Foundations of Mindfulness, a systematic guide to practicing mindfulness in a progression.

In this weekend retreat, we will examine the third and fourth foundations of mindfulness by contemplating the mind and phenomena or mental constructs. In everyday life, we see and experience reality through a lens built by stories, past experiences, feelings, judgments, and more. By bringing our awareness to the mental objects that construct our vision of reality, we begin to understand our true connectedness and the impermanent nature of reality. This exploration is a profound opening to understanding the true nature of ourselves and the world.

This retreat is appropriate for those who have an established Vipassana practice and have received some teachings on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness.
