About this event

In this weekend retreat, Namchak Khen Rinpoche will be teaching on the fourth and fifth chapters from The Way of the Bodhisattva on Carefulness and Vigilant Introspection.

The Way of the Bodhisattva is a core text in the study and practice of Mahayana Buddhism. Once we have set off on a path of spiritual practice, Carefulness and Vigilant Introspection are two factors that help us to both stay on track in our practice on the cushion as well as in maintaining our wholesome attitudes and actions in our day-to-day activities. These are the tools that will help us to follow through with what we’ve started and make tangible progress on the path.

Khen Rinpoche will be teaching from the root text: The Way of the Bodhisattva by Shantideva. Khen Rinpoche recommends (but does not require) the text: The Nectar of Manjushri’s Speech: A Detailed Commentary on Shantideva’s Way of the Bodhisattva by Kunzang Pelden

Who this course is for:

  • Anyone looking to deepen their understanding of Buddhist context
