In 2017 Namchak will launch the Ancient Wisdom Engaged (AWE) program. This two-year, non-residential study program offers students an introduction to the Vajrayana path of Tibetan Buddhism and to a unique form of personal leadership. You can use this program to accelerate progress on the spiritual path and learn how to take practice into daily life. Through immersive experiences with Tibetan and Western masters, focused study, and a vibrant community of spirit-centered peers, we will offer you ancient and modern ways to cultivate a profound sense of connection, and deepen relationships with family, friends, and colleagues. The program will also help you uncover your true purpose and maximize your contribution in the world. Program graduates will have new skills to live meaningful inner and outer lives. Some may be invited to work within the Namchak organization or serve in a community leadership role. Students will take part in dharma study, meditation practices, and transformational group-retreat experiences.
This program is characterized by intimate connections with the Namchak lamas: a Western teacher, Lama Tsomo, will serve as a primary mentor for students; Namchak Khenpo Rinpoche, the dharma heir to the Namchak lineage, will offer teachings and lead retreats; and the world lineage holder, Gochen Tulku Sangak (sometimes spelled, “Sang-Ngag”) Rinpoche, will offer advanced teachings and empowerments. Moreover, self-awareness experiences and leadership trainings will be offered by Aaron Stern, musician, teacher, president and founder of the Academy for the Love of Learning, and founder of the Leading by Being learning programs.
